Dare Devil (2009): a mobile alternate reality game that bends urban interaction

Dare Devil: Game Treatment (PDF)

Dare Devil is a social networking game that encourages strangers to become friends by playing a mobile, GPS-enabled version of “Truth or Dare”. The objective of the game is to encourage the formation of looser, more spontaneous interpersonal relations between urban dwellers, help people feel more at home in their geographical and social environment, destabilize social codes in order to promote a contagious spirit of carnival fun, and help people hone their socialization skills.
